Spam Filtering
Every email received by our network is scanned and compared against thousands of patterns & rules common to spam. The spam filter also makes use of an auto learning Bayesian filter that uses email that has already passed through our network to learn the difference between spam and legitimate email. If a message is determined to be spam it is not sent to your mailbox. This leaves your inbox full of legitimate email instead of spam.
Anti-Virus Scanning
Viruses can cost your company down time and a loss in revenue. Most available anti-virus programs need to be installed on your computer and take up valuable system resources which can slow your computer down. Our virus scanning runs on our network and safely deletes any email that contains a virus before it even reaches your computer. Our software updates its virus definition database on a regular basis from a source rated consistently in the top three for its speed in delivering updates on newly discovered viruses. This means that when a new virus comes out our servers will be one of the first to know about it and protect you from it.
DomainKeys
An upcoming email standard that helps verify the identity of the sender and recipient of emails you send and receive. This new email verification technology is being adopted by several top email service providers including Yahoo! and Earthlink. By adopting this technology now we are helping to ensure your email and your company's email can be verified by the recipient as having been sent by you and not by someone posing as you. This verification process allows your email to bypass the recipient's spam/virus filters to virtually guarantee your email will be received by the intended recipient and not flagged as spam.
Improved Webmail
Our new webmail interface allows you to receive email from anywhere via web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc). We're introducing a new look and new features to our webmail. Some of the new features include: Message Searches (find that message you're looking for), Whitelisting/Blacklisting (decide who can and can't send you email), an improved message list view (easier to view message status and a new Thread based view), an improved spell checker, an improved calendar and address book and the ability to import contact lists from your email client (Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, etc).
Webadmin Option Available
This is an optional service for the more tech savvy person within your company. With WebAdmin you can add and remove aliases, setup email forwarding and have greater control over your company's email accounts. If you are interested in this service please call us and we'll be happy to set you up.
Vacation Notifies
While you're on vacation our system can email anyone who sends you an email to let them know you are away. This message is customizable by you so you can include additional information such as when you will be returning from vacation.
Challenge & Response
Since we cannot (nor can any provider) guarantee our Spam Filtering system will be able to identify all spam sent to your email address we can offer those who require 100% spam removal an additional service. With our Challenge & Response system anyone who sends an email to you who is not in your contact list will be immediately sent an email back asking them to verify that they are a real person and not a spam program. Once this verification process is complete, you will receive the original email they sent you. This only has to be done once by the sender and all subsequent emails sent by this sender will be delivered to your mailbox immediately without delay. Most spammers send many messages at a time and will not respond to these challenge emails which means this spam will never reach your mailbox. This spam filtering method does require more work on your part and for the people sending you emails. This option is not for everyone which is why it's an optional service. Increased Email Storage
With your increased storage capacity you can store more messages on our servers and be able to receive emails with larger attachments. This helps insure that if you don't check your everyday you won't have to worry about your mailbox filling up and therefore messages being rejected and lost. This increase in storage capacity also allows us to offer you the optional Virtual Folders service below.
Virtual Folders (optional service)
For users who are constantly on the road and where having access to your email messages is vital, we offer a new way to store and view your email. By storing your email on our servers you can access all your email (new and already received) from anywhere. Your email can be synchronized with your email client (Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, etc) and our webmail interface (accessible anywhere via web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc). This means that if you don't have your computer with you on the road you can still access all your email. Any emails and folders you have setup in your email client will also appear in your browser through our webmail interface. Never be without that important email again! This is an optional service so please call us if you are interested.
Group Collaboration Suite (optional service)
Our Collaboration Suite allows you and your employees to to share Mail Folders, Address Books, Calendars, Reminders and Notes. These features allow everyone on your team to be on the same page. With this service you and your employees can keep track of who's in the office, who's in a meeting, company/team announcements and project deadlines and progress. These features can help cut down on lost time and money due to miscommunication and/or lack of information. Server Upgrade
In order to offer these new services we've had to upgrade our existing mail servers. These new servers have more than 4x's the memory and more than 5x's storage space. A new backup server has also been added as well to help ensure data integrity. These improvements help to ensure server uptime and quick response to incoming mail.
